The Problem

AI video tools can be impressive, but I often do not like the look or the lack of control. They can create something fast, but they do not always support the kind of timing, character acting, scene control and revision process that animation needs.

Traditional animation software gives more control, but it can also spread the work across too many tools. Character setup, posing, lip sync, camera moves, scene management and final composition often feel disconnected. I wanted a system that kept those pieces closer together.

The Solution

Drew became a 2.5D animation tool built around the way I work. It brings character creation, performance, scene editing and timeline animation into a more connected workflow.

The goal is not to remove the artist. The goal is to remove the repetitive work that slows an artist down, while keeping creative control in the hands of the person making the piece.

The Impact

Drew shows how I think about AI as a workflow tool. It is not about asking AI to create the final creative piece. It is about using AI to help build better tools for making creative work.

It also shows a different side of my product thinking. When the tool I need does not exist, I am willing to design the workflow, prototype the product and push it until it becomes useful.
